- Position is Naver’s, not ours. Naver’s ordering reflects its own algorithm — review volume, activity, relevance, and factors it doesn’t publish. A clinic near the top is not “better” than one near the bottom.
- Review counts are volume, not quality. Visit reviews and blog reviews measure different things, and blog reviews in particular can include sponsored posts. High counts mean visibility, not verified outcomes.
- “Board-certified doctors” is what Naver lists. Where a clinic lists specialists in other fields, we record that as shown rather than collapsing it into one number.
- Tags are the clinic’s own marketing. They describe what a clinic promotes, translated from its Korean keywords — not what it has been independently verified to do well.
- This is dated. Naver results, staff, and promotions change. This snapshot is from the date at the top of the page.

This is a record of what one specific search showed on one specific date, published so you can check it yourself — every row links out to Google Maps and Apple Maps for exactly that reason. Samseong-dong sits east of the main Gangnam Station strip, near COEX and Seolleung, and returned a smaller and entirely ad-free set of clinics compared with Gangnam or Apgujeong. You can re-run it at m.map.naver.com, though you won’t get an identical list — Naver’s ordering shifts continuously and mixes in paid placements, which we strip out. Naver Place is a commercial directory, not a registry: it carries no licensing signal at all.
To verify any clinic here, the checks that actually prove something are official and mostly free. Whether a clinic is even legally registered to treat foreign patients is searchable in English through the government’s registered institution list — registration requires malpractice cover of at least 100 million won, and an unregistered clinic treating foreign patients is operating illegally. Whether a surgeon is board-certified can be checked through the Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons’ English specialist search, which matters because any licensed Korean physician may legally perform cosmetic procedures without plastic surgery board certification.
