Korea Plastic Surgery is an independent research site. We don’t sell products, run an online store, or require account registration to read the site, so the data we collect is limited to what’s described below.
1. Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form (name, email, comment text), plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture there; if approved, that picture becomes publicly visible next to your comment. If you opt in, your name, email, and website may be saved in a cookie so you don’t have to re-enter them on your next comment; this cookie lasts one year.
2. Analytics
We use a self-hosted analytics plugin (Independent Analytics) to understand traffic to the site. It stores aggregate visit statistics directly in our own server database rather than sending data to a third-party analytics company, and it does not set tracking cookies.
3. Embedded Content and Outbound Links
Articles on this site may link out to Korean-language clinic sites, review platforms, and other sources we cite as part of our research, as well as government or medical references. Those are third-party sites with their own privacy practices, separate from ours. See our Commercial Disclosure for how outbound links relate to how this site may generate revenue.
4. What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you left a comment on this site, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This doesn’t include data we’re obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
5. What We Don’t Do
- We don’t sell or rent visitor data to third parties.
- We don’t require account registration to read the site.
- We don’t run e-commerce checkout or store payment information.
